The State Board of Pardons and Paroles reaches out to Veterans to fill jobs
Atlanta, GA – The State Board of Pardons and Paroles is inviting military veterans to a job fair in Glennville, Georgia, April 17th.
The military job fair is hosted by the Department of Corrections, Georgia Department of Defense and the Georgia National Guard. Law enforcement agencies participating include the Parole Board, Department of Corrections, Department of Juvenile Justice, Department of Public Safety and the Department of Natural Resources. The agencies participating will have personnel on hand to answer questions from potential job applicants.
Parole Board Chairman Albert Murray welcomes the opportunity to give our veterans information about parole jobs in Georgia.
“Our U.S. Veterans know what it means to protect and serve America. We are proud of the veterans already working in their roles with the agency and we welcome those who wish to pursue a public safety career," said Chairman Murray.
The job fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the National Guard Armory in Glennville. The agencies are offering approximately 800 jobs for military personnel returning from duty.
The Parole Board employs approximately 300 Parole Officers who supervise nearly 24 thousand parolees annually in Georgia.
