National Organization for Victim Assistance 49th Training Conference
The Georgia Office of Victim Services (GOVS) and Georgia Parole Board Member, Jacqueline Bunn, attended the National Organization for Victim Assistance (NOVA) 49th Training Conference in Louisiana. The training conference provided an opportunity for the GOVS staff to connect, learn, and collaborate with experts in the field of victim assistance. “I was honored to represent the Board and support the victims services staff at the NOVA conference. The conference training was exceptional and enables staff to have the tools they need to continue delivering exceptional customer service to victims statewide. The unit’s goal is to be at the forefront of being responsive to victims’ needs and making sure their concerns are included in post conviction clemency decisions,” stated Ms. Bunn.
The Georgia Office of Victim Services is a division of the State Board of Pardons and Paroles and represents the Parole Board, the Georgia Department of Corrections, and the Georgia Department of Community Supervision. GOVS provides post-conviction services to registered crime victims involving offenders in prison or serving sentences on probation or parole.
