APPA 47th Annual Training Conference in Chicago, IL
The Parole Board attended the American Probation and Parole Association's (APPA) 47th Annual Training Institute in Chicago, Illinois. Deputy Executive Director of the State Board of Pardons and Paroles, Rita Rocker said staff took advantage of the various training sessions. "The APPA has put together an excellent training agenda with renowned speakers and instructors. It's an opportunity for our staff to collaborate with peers across the country," stated Rocker.
Two of our investigators attended the conference as well. Chief Criminal Investigator Iris Shepard and Chief Institutional Investigator Craig Flint completed several sessions while attending the conference. Both will soon graduate from the Institute at the next conference.
