Central State Prison Braille Program Visit
Georgia Parole Board staff, including Chairman Terry Barnard and member Meg Heap, visited Central State Prison to get updated on the braille program operated by the Georgia Department of Corrections. The braille program is a partnership between the Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC), the Georgia Department of Education, and the Division of Special Education Services. The program provides accessible textbooks and other materials for visually challenged K-12 students in public schools. The Parole Board Members and parole staff also met with the offenders in the program at Central State Prison. Additional information may be added to the parole case files as a result.
