Governor's 2019 Public Safety Awards
The State Board of Pardons and Paroles congratulated the officers recognized in December of 2019 by Governor Brian Kemp and state government at the 2019 Governor's Public Safety Awards. Several officers from state law enforcement agencies were recognized for “Acts of Heroism, Outstanding Deeds and Exemplary Performance that enhances their profession.”
“This ceremony is an excellent way to honor these officers for their service while protecting Georgia citizens,” stated Parole Board Member James Mills. “They risk their lives every day. It was an honor to pay tribute to them.”
“Our law enforcement personnel serve knowing events may require quick action in order to save lives. These officers are very deserving and stand as an example of the excellent men and women who protect our Georgia communities,” stated Parole Board Member David Herring.
The ceremony was held at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center
